Osborn Engineering, in collaboration with Gresham Smith, is providing design services for the renovation to 6,700 SF of the second floor in the Baptist Hospital’s Main Building West Wing to accommodate a 12-bay unit which served as an overflow for Neurology patients and occasional recovery for ICU patients leaving the adjacent Neurology Surgery Center also located within the Main Building. As part of this scope of work the mechanical system in the building will be replaced and new electrical and data rooms were provided in adjacent areas on the same floor. Also part of this renovation includes new MEP, Fire Protection and Technology systems were provided for all 12 bays, support spaces and common areas. Total Construction cost $2.6 million.
