Osborn Engineering is providing Engineering services for the design of various Avid hotels across the United States, including locations in Dania Beach, Florida and Kalamazoo, Michigan. Osborn provided MEP and Fire Protection Engineering services for the design of the 4-story, 103-unit Avid Hotel in Dania Beach. This hotel has 103 rooms, 90 parking spaces, and a pool on the ground floor. Osborn provided Structural Engineering services for the design of the 5-story, 85-until Avid Hotel in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The project featured ICF exterior walls, eco-span composite floor deck, and load-bearing steel-light gauge stud walls. Walls between rooms were used as shear walls for the lateral resisting system.
