Completed in conjunction with LDA Architects, Osborn provided Civil, Structural, MEP, and Fire Protection Engineering services for this multi-family residential project in the historic Little Italy neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. The project consists of three floors of 44 market grade, wood-framed, apartment units above a concrete parking podium. Unique project components included electronic sub-metering and whole-house mechanical ventilation for each unit. Due to the proximity of adjacent residential and commercial structures that this urban redevelopment site presented, the Osborn multi-discipline team worked closely together to design the locations of building foundations, retaining walls, walkways, gathering spaces, and utility systems. This coordination and our team’s experience maximized the functionality of the available space and presented an economically viable construction approach that resulted in a successful project. This project was designed per the Enterprise Green, City of Cleveland requirements.
