Osborn Engineering has been pre-qualified by the Ohio Facility Construction Commission’s (OFCC) as an independent Commissioning Authority for the LEED™ commissioning of new school projects throughout the state. Osborn has provided commissioning services for over 150+ buildings in 67 school districts.

Osborn’s process includes developing the commissioning plan and specifications and reviewing the design during the Design Phase. During the Construction Phase, commissioning activities include performing submittal reviews, conducting commissioning kick-off meetings with contractors, periodic site visits during construction and verifying pre functional start-up reports. During post-occupancy Osborn participates in and verifies training for commissioned systems, conducts functional testing of HVAC (including seasonal testing), domestic water heating systems and electrical lighting systems, and prepares issues logs to contractors for resolution. Osborn is also responsible for compiling the Systems Manual, preparing a final Commissioning Report and uploading required LEED™ documentation.
