South Parking Garage
Cleveland State University | Cleveland , Ohio
Osborn Engineering provided engineering services for a new parking facility for Cleveland State University (CSU). The garage serves the Wolstein Center and also is utilized for student parking.
Osborn’s responsibilities included planning, Schematic Design and a Design Development package used as bridging documents for the Design-Build project delivery process. Osborn was also Cleveland State University’s Owner’s Representative throughout the Design-Build portion of the project.
Further, the Osborn team designed the Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Arrays on top of the building totaling 90kW. The energy produced offset the energy used by the garage lighting and exhaust system providing a net zero building. LED lighting was specified along with daylight harvesting around the perimeter of the garage. This turned off the outside row of lighting when adequate day lighting was provided.
This garage is LEED Gold certified.
