Osborn is working with SmithGroup on two new parking garages for American Axle Manufacturing (AAM) in Detroit, Michigan. SmithGroup is providing the site/civil design and Osborn is providing Architecture, Structural, MEP, Technology, and Fire Protection design services.

 

The North Parking Deck is a 4-level cast-in-place garage accommodating 152 cars. The parking garage connects to the new visitor center and services visitor parking. The South Parking Deck is a 5-level cast-in-place garage accommodating 442 cars and services employee parking. Structural systems are cast-in-place post-tensioned slabs, beams, and girders supported by conventionally reinforced cast-in-place concrete columns on shallow concrete spread footings.
