11 kV Ring Bus
Cleveland Clinic | Cleveland , Ohio
Osborn Engineering is providing electrical and civil engineering services to connect all of the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus buildings to four new 36kV substations being constructed around the Campus as part of an upgrade to the Clinic’s high voltage distribution system. URS is managing the overall project. The system capacity will be 120 MVA.
This project, through close coordination with the primary electric service providers' 36 kV distribution system design, will give the Clinic N-1 capability.
Osborn Engineering’s role includes the 11kV laterals design of both power and technology distribution duct banks and manholes to connect each of the individual buildings to the new 36kV ring bus system. The design of the duct banks and manhole/vaults will be based on the routing plans that have been prepared by Karpinski Engineering.
