New Broadcast Studio
Accuweather | State College , Pennsylvania
AccuWeather added a new Broadcast Studio which will be used for live on-air broadcasts and taped content production. Components to the Broadcast Studio project include: production studio, control room, edit suite, make-up rooms, dedicated tech core, mezzanine, and mechanical/electrical room.
The new program required dedicated electrical and mechanical systems with redundancy as well as full emergency back up by two diesel driven, outdoor generators, 200 KW each. The two generators serve the studio equipment, lighting and power as well as the new, redundant, 100 KVA Uninterruptable Power Supply units (UPS).
The two generators are located outside of the building in the sound attenuated, weatherproof enclosures.
