Lakeview Solar PV Array
Osborn provided civil, electrical and technology engineering design and permitting services for the development of 1 Megawatt ground-mounted solar photovoltaic (PV) array that comprises over 4,000 solar panels. The project is located on approximately 6 acres and was developed on a former brownfield situated in the cities of Cleveland and East Cleveland. Power from the project is being purchased by the local utility in University Circle, Medical Center Company, who is diversifying their energy portfolio.
The developer, Evergreen Energy Solutions (E2S) is one of three worker-owned cooperatives in the Evergreen Cooperatives portfolio (E2S, Evergreen Cooperative Laundry and Green City Growers). The Evergreen initiative was created by the Cleveland Foundation and the City of Cleveland, with support from several of Cleveland’s major anchor institutions such as Case Western Reserve University, the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals. The Evergreen Cooperative Initiative creates job and workforce development opportunities for many Cleveland residents.
