OSports has a rich history in sports and entertainment planning and design dating back nearly a century. In 1909, OSports’ business ‘parent’, The Osborn Engineering Company, designed one of the nation’s first major league baseball stadiums, League Park, in Cleveland. Babe Ruth hit his 500th home run in League Park and Joe DiMaggio’s record 56-game hitting streak came to an end there. Since that time, we have continued to be acknowledged leaders in design and engineering solutions for professional teams, colleges and universities, communities and schools.
When selected as project engineer for Cleveland Municipal Stadium in 1928, Osborn already had designed more than 75 sports facilities, including New York's Yankee Stadium, Boston's Fenway Park, Chicago's Comiskey Park, and sports facilities for numerous colleges and universities, including Purdue, Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academy at West Point.
While Osborn Sports has developed lasting relationships that cover over a century of growth, its future looks even brighter. As technology has evolved over time, so too have our engineering capabilities, and we will provide them with a renewed emphasis on providing sustainable and state of the art facilities for all of you to experience.
