Eastern Michigan University
Student Athlete Performance Center
This design/build project is a partnership between OSPORTS, IDS (Architects) and Barton Mallow (CM) for a Student Athlete Performance Center primarily for Eastern Michigan University Football. OSPORTS provided sports planning and civil, structural, and technology engineering services.
The new Student Athlete Performance Center (SAPC) was built directly behind the existing track at the north end of Rynearson Stadium. The 65,000 SF facility includes a 10,000 SF weight room with views to the existing football field. The remaining space is occupied by locker room facilities, coaches’ offices, training rooms, team meeting rooms and storage/equipment spaces.
OSPORTS provided various sports architecture consulting services for the Performance Center. Our sports planners worked with the design/build team to develop the facility program and initial planning layouts. OSPORTS continued to provide peer review services for all sport design related components during the design phase. Additionally, our sports design staff worked with our sports engineers to assist with all project related coordination during the construction documents and construction administration phases.
Project Cost: $20 Million
